Solve the riddle: There is a clothing store in Bartlesville. The owner has devised his own method of pricing items. A vest costs $20, socks cost $25, a tie costs $15 and a blouse costs $30. Using the method, how much would a pair of underwear cost?

Food for Thought

An unusual find: Something interesting has happened recently……..no I didn’t acquire a new gadget or find a new restaurant. I found some time in my day for me!

In current times we are so plugged in to just about everything and everyone at all times. Our cell phone, email, Facebook accounts have us constantly updating something (one) or being updated ourselves. The benefit of this is that we know what everyone is doing but the cost comes at not having any down or quiet time to ones self. This feeds into the new talent we’ve mastered called multi-tasking. We’ve become extremely good at this. Even that description doesn’t cover the number of things I’ve witnessed people trying to do at once. For instance drive (which gets the least focus), eat, write something down, while talking on their wireless headset. Another interesting one was at a drive up ATM. The person was on the phone, eating and trying to lean out the window and complete some banking transactions. Needless to say it took FOREVER for this to all happen.

While waiting, I did use this down time to wonder how often I try and do exactly the same thing and realized that this has probably become a lost art, in a sense. Try and take five minutes daily to have some quiet time. See what happens.
